RESULTS
Monday 26th August

U13 Boys Div 2
Carrig Celtic 8-5 Askeaton/Kilcornan
A very tough and undeserved loss on Monday night to a really strong Carrig Celtic side.
After going down 2 nil within the first five minutes we thought we were in for a long night, but our powerful young men dusted themselves off and got back into it going 4-2 up.
A too and fro game played out and at 5 all with 15 to go it would have been a fair reflection on the game but we just ran out of steam in the last few minutes and conceded 3 late goals.
Fantastic team effort and proud of each and everyone of them.

Great performance on Saturday in their first game of the season. A bit limited on numbers but the lads left everything out on the pitch on a very hot day.

ASKEATON KILCORNAN AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held Tuesday, August 27th in Askeaton clubhouse. The winner of €120 was Tommy O’ Donoghue.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Kilcornan AFC. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Brian Collins Bookmakers, Moran’s Hardware, Askeaton Soccer Pitch and Kilcornan Community Hall. You can also enter online at www.askeatonkilcornanafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.
