Our U9 boys travelled to Breska on Saturday morning and took part in a very entertaining game. Both teams showed great effort throughout, with plenty of skill and enthusiasm on display.
U8 Boys
Ballingarry v Askeaton/Kilcornan
Our U8 boys made the trip to Ballingarry where they showed great determination and teamwork throughout the game. A fantastic effort from all involved.
U16 Boys Div 2
Creeves Cel 1-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan
Our U16 boys were away against Creeves. We played Creeves 2 weeks ago in Askeaton and came away with a 1-0 win so we were expecting a tight game. Creeves were playing with the breeze and down the hill in the first half and we were under pressure from the off. Creeves took the lead after 10 minutes with a good strike from the edge of the box. We started to come into the game and were dangerous on the break. We started the second half well and began to dominate possession however found Creeves hard to break down. We kept up the pressure and had a few long range strikes that went wide and in the last few minutes we had a shot blocked on the line. We couldn’t get the equaliser that our efforts deserved and the final score finished 1-0. The lads worked very hard and couldn’t be faulted for the effort.

U13 Girls Div 1
Askeaton/Kilcornan 3-1 NCW Town
Super win for the U13 girls at home to Newcastle West Town. Cailín opened the scoring on the 17th minute after her shot hit the left post and crossed the line. Three minutes later Amy Kenrick scored the second. With the girls pushing Newcastle hard in the second half Mia O’Shaughnessy calmly slotted home to make it 3-0. Newcastle pulled one back midway through the second half but the girls dug deep to see out the win.
