U10 Boys
NON-COMPETITIVE
U10 Boys Dual Grp 2
Abbeyfeale Utd v Askeaton/Kilcornan
Our U10 boys played some brilliant non-competitive games and showed great teamwork throughout.

U14 Boys SFAI SUBWAY National Cup Round 3
Askeaton/Kilcornan 3-7 Caherdavin Celtic
Unfortunately, our National Cup campaign came to an end on Saturday with a 7-3 defeat at home to Caherdavin. Conceding four goals from four corners proved costly, but the final scoreline doesn’t truly reflect the effort and quality shown by all the lads.
U12 Boys Div 2
Abbeyfeale Utd 3-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan
After a strong start against a tough Abbeyfeale side, we conceded two quick goals, one straight from the kickoff. We regrouped and put in a great performance in the second half. While pushing hard to get back into the game, a clearance deflected back into goal making it 3-0. Despite that setback, the team kept fighting and pushed for the final 20 minutes but just couldn’t find the goal. A win is definitely around the corner if we keep showing the same mentality and passion we had in the second half.
Limerick Desmond U19s Ladies
Broadford Utd 6-2 Askeaton/Kilcornan AFC
A 6-2 loss for the U19 girls in what can only be described as a missed opportunity. We went down 2-0 early on, but a lovely ball played through the gap allowed Leanne to pull one back, making it 2-1. Unfortunately, just before half-time, we conceded again to go in 3-1 down at the break.
After a rallying half-time talk, we came out determined, but Broadford added to their tally, taking the score to 6-1. Still, we kept working hard as a team and were rewarded when Hailey showed great footwork before setting up Jane, who calmly slotted home her second goal of the season.
It was an improvement on our first game, and there were plenty of positives to take away, though we hit the post three times! On another day, those go in. We regroup, learn, and go again next week!
