U8 Girls
Askeaton/Kilcornan v Shountrade
Another super morning work put in! Well done ladies.

U11 Boys
Askeaton/Kilcornan v Mountcollins
A great performance from the whole squad on Saturday morning in their home game against Mountcollins.

U12 Girls Div 1
Broadford Utd 1-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan
The girls were very unlucky not to hit the back of the net in a game where they deserved at least a draw.

U13 Boys Div 2
Breska Rvs B 0-3 Askeaton/Kilcornan
Tom Harty (2)
Rian Kelly
U13 boys continue their good run of form with a 3 nil win away to Breska. In a dominant performance we saw goals from Rian and Tom. The win sees us hold 3rd position and close the gap on the leaders. 5 matches to go and all to play for!!!

U15 Boys Div 2
St Itas 0-1 Askeaton/Kilcornan
Gavin Rushe
We made the trip to St. Ita’s on Saturday with a reduced squad and the team got stuck in from the start. The pitch was very poor but the lads stuck with it and fought hard. Massive contribution from the midfield all day with Cillian Murphy having a huge impact.
We had a number of off-side calls which were arguably tight at times but we finally broke through with some nice link play down the left and Gavin Rushe burst through the defence with a superb finish.
Shortly after St.Ita’s almost pulled it back but a fine save from Luca in goals meant we kept another clean sheet.
We had a few more chances that either whistled over the bar or the keeper saved.
A fantastic, gritty performance by the lads and well deserved win.
Only 2 games left and both are crucial for us as we sit second in the table. One of those games is against the leaders Feenagh so it’s going to be an exciting finale and we would appreciate any support for the remaining two games to encourage the lads.

U16 Girls Div 1
Ballingarry 5-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan
We travelled to Ballingarry on Saturday, again we had to make changes with injury and other commitments. Although loosing 5 nil we still showed signs of improvement, when we do finally get the whole squad together for a game it will be interesting to see. Spirits were down a bit at half time but we rallied and gave it a go. Fine performances from Lucy and Lee Ann today, they kept the girls going but I’m going to give our girl of the match to Lily Prendeville who we all taught was a jem on the day. One thing about our girls is they are enjoying playing together and have become a united team.
