Askeaton/Kilcornan v Shannonside There have been some great games against Shannonside but this was one of the best yet.
Fantastic team effort with goals scored by Mike, Luke and Sean and great saves made from man of the match Thomas Kenneally.

U13 Boys Div 2

A great morning for our U13 boys and a legendary performance from Danny Anglim scoring 6 goals!
All the lads all over the field had major impacts on the day and fought for each other over every blade of grass.
Great performances by all and a special mention to Michael O’ Shaughnessy stepping in at center back and playing out of his skin.
Everyone of the 13 lads can be really proud of themselves and we drive on from this.
Thanks to the 2 new trainers too coming on board with us this week, Brian Condon and Willie Biggane, I’m sure we can climb up this league a bit with all these great young men.
U15 Boys Div 2
NCW Town B 0-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan
Our U15s were in League action on Saturday afternoon away v Newcastle West in the Demense. We had the majority of possession in the first half and had a number of corners from which we created a few chances. Aaron Cregan was very unluncky when his effort was cleared off the line.
Newcastle West only created one chance in the first half from which Luca made a good save. Half Time score 0-0.
We continued where we left off in the second half, however, we began to create a few more chances. Darragh O’Shaughnessy was very unlucky when he hit a great stike from outside the box which hit the crossbar with the keeper beaten. Mark McDonagh was unlucky on a couple of occasions with strikes that went over. Newcastle West rarely threatened as they could not get past our defence with Aaron Cregan in particular outstanding in defence. Our lads kept working hard but unfortunately we couldnt get the goal our efforts deserved.

U16 Girls Div 2
Dromore Utd 4-1 Askeaton/Kilcornan

U16 girls were away to one of the top of the table teams Dromore who are a fine team, but to be fair they had to battle hard today to overcome our girls who again gave a brave performance. The girls never gave up and were unlucky to go into halftime 2-0 down. Early in the second half Caoimhe scored a goal that was simply a magnificent strike from 30 yards. Dromore responded eventually with 2 more goals but again the game slightly flatterd the scoreline. All the girls are definitely improving and we will get our rewards.

ASKEATON KILCORNAN AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held Tuesday, November 12th in Askeaton clubhouse. The winner of €127 was Deron Keating.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Kilcornan AFC. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Brian Collins Bookmakers, Moran’s Hardware, Askeaton Soccer Pitch and Kilcornan Community Hall. You can also enter online at www.askeatonkilcornanafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club.
