Friday 17th February
U/10 girls had a great 6-6 draw with Shannonside on Friday night under lights. Great excitement for all involved. Our six goals were shared between Mia O’Shaughnessy and Mya Kelly.

Saturday 18th February
U/12 Girls Cup
Askeaton AFC 0-1 Creeves Cel
A first defeat of the season for the girls, losing 1-0 to a well set up Creeves team in the ¼ final of the cup. The girls worked really hard to try and get the equaliser, only to be denied by a couple of great stops by the Creeves keeper. Great effort from all and best of luck to Creeves for the rest of the season.

Sunday 19th February
Weekly Observer Division 1
Rathkeale B 2-1 Askeaton AFC
Niall Barry ⚽
Started strong again on Sunday, had some nice passing going, created a couple of half chances but nothing to clear cut. The second half saw Rathkeale take the lead with a fine strike. The lads responded well, Jeff coming close and Shane missing the target. Soon after we were dominating possession and Pete got the ball, put it across the box and Niall slid across near the back post but just missing the ball. The boys linked up again Pete heading the ball across the box and this time Niall tapped it in. We kept pushing for the next goal but it was Rathkeale who got it. We had a few more chances from Pete and Jeff but the keeper saved them. Great game from the lads, just wasn’t our day but we will go again 🔴⚫
