Saturday 20th January

U12 Boys Div 2
Carrig Celtic 3-2 Askeaton/Kilcornan A
Eoin Kelly
Dylan O Connor
We went down to a strong Carrig team, it could have went either way on the day. We created loads of chances but just couldnt get over the line. Lots of positives to take from the match.

U14 Girls Div 2
Askeaton/Kilcornan 1-6 Glantine
Lily Bishop
It was unfortunate for us that we were playing the unbeaten league leaders on a day when, for one reason or another, we were short so many of our more experienced players. In spite of all our difficulties – having only the bare 11 throughout the game and some of them U12, the girls that played acquitted themselves exceptionally well and the final scoreline in no way reflects the pattern of play. Lily Bishop scored a great goal for us while Samantha Maune – still U12, was her usual capable self in goal making some wonderful saves and couldn’t be faulted for any of the Glantine scores. Well done to all who played for their never say die attitude throughout the game.
Team: Samantha Maune, Tammy O’ Dwyer, Sophie Barry, Niamh Somers, Macey Duffy, Jessica Walshe, Cailín Purtill, Ruby Maune, Lily Bishop, Moya O’ Gorman, Hailey Ashton.

U16 Boys Div 2

It is an exciting year ahead for Askeaton-Kilcornan AFC with SOAP & TELEVISION STARS on Saturday, 20th April in the Longcourt Hotel in Newcastle West.
The movies will be showed on the night but first we need to MAKE the movies.
We are looking for people to get involved. Following on from our original casting night, Lip-Sync Battles Ireland are looking to confirm the cast of the movies.
There is a casting night on Tuesday 23rd January at 7.30pm in Kilcornan Community Hall.
We are keen to start rehearsals and recording in February and March.
Each of the movies is short and so most cast members will only have a line or two but lots of fun guaranteed!
