Saturday 21st September

U12 Girls Div 1
Askeaton/Kilcornan 8-6 Granagh Utd
Our u12 girls did the club very proud on Saturday in a very entertaining match at home to Granagh Utd.
Cailin Purtill got our first two goals putting us into a 2-0 lead after 10 minutes.
Further goals from Aimee Quirke, Laura O’ Driscoll and two goals from Mia O’ Shaughnessy had us in a 6 – 4 lead at halftime.
The second half saw creative midfielders and great defending and further goals from Cailin Purtill and Mia O’Shaughnessy.

U13 Boys Div 2
Kilcolman Rovers 3-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan
Unfortunately we fell to a 3 nil defeat on Saturday away to Kilcolman Rovers, a top side who will no doubt be there or there abouts at the end of the season. We gather together and go again. Well done to all the boys, regardless of the result they all played great football.

Askeaton/Kilcornan 2-1 Dromore Utd (AET)

Zach Birdthistle (2)
We went down 1-0 after 70 minutes but got the equaliser through Zach Birdthistle in the last minute of normal time. This led the game into extra time with Zach netting his second goal and securing our place in the next round of the cup.

ASKEATON KILCORNAN AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held Tuesday, September 17th in Askeaton clubhouse. The winner of €120 was Tony Walsh.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Kilcornan AFC. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Brian Collins Bookmakers, Moran’s Hardware, Askeaton Soccer Pitch and Kilcornan Community Hall. You can also enter online at www.askeatonkilcornanafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.
