Great performances across the whole team with Luke Mungovan scoring for us. As always a learning game ready for next season.
U13 Boys Div 2
Rathkeale 1-2 Askeaton/Kilcornan
A deadly performance from our 13s away to league leaders Rathkeale, coming away with a 2-1 win.
Five minutes into the first half Rathkeale went one up from the spot but our lads rallied and fought hard to equalise just before half time with a goal from Harry.
We were under the cosh for the first 15 minutes of the second half before Danny got a chance after hard battling from Rory gave him an opening and he took his chance well, we dug in and held out for the last 10 minutes and came away with the priceless 3 points.
Well done to each and every lad, left everything out there .
U16 Girls Cup Preliminary round 1

Another brave performance, created a lot of chances but just couldn’t get the ball in the net. We move forward again to the next game. Girl of the match for us this week was Macey.

ASKEATON KILCORNAN AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held on Tuesday 18th February in Askeaton clubhouse. The winner of €122 was Andrew & Connor Duffy.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Kilcornan AFC. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Brian Collins Bookmakers, Moran’s Hardware, Askeaton Soccer Pitch and Kilcornan Community Hall. You can also enter online at www.askeatonkilcornanafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.
