SFAI SUBWAY U12 Boys National Cup Rd 1 Askeaton/Kilcornan v Ballynanty Rovers B
Our u12 boys had a great win in the first round of the SFAI National Cup today at home to Ballynanty Bs in Askeaton. An early goal from Harry Biggane got us off to a good start, and Eoghan Kelly added a fantastic hat-trick before half time. Further goals from Mike Mulvihill, Luke Mungovan and two from Tom McCarthy in the second half sealed the win. Everyone in the squad got good time on the pitch and played their part in a great team performance. Now on to round two!

Great effort from all the lads today in a tough game away in Mounthawk Park. We went 1 up from a Seanie Downes free kick and kept Dynamos out until the half way mark.
The home side pulled one back and added another to make it 2-1 but shortly after Lorcan Blackwell had us level again. Dynamos went top again 3-2 and again we levelled things through a Jack Doran goal. With only 3 minutes of normal time left and a scoreline of 3-3 it could have gone either way but unfortunately it was Tralee Dynamos who scored the winner to make it 4-3.

ASKEATON KILCORNAN AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held Tuesday, September 24th in Askeaton clubhouse. The winner of €120 was Holly Barry.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Kilcornan AFC. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Brian Collins Bookmakers, Moran’s Hardware, Askeaton Soccer Pitch and Kilcornan Community Hall. You can also enter online at www.askeatonkilcornanafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.
