Dromore Utd v Askeaton/Kilcornan
Our U8 girls travelled to Dromore on Saturday morning in cold conditions but that didn’t deter them one bit. Building on a great training session from Thursday night, the girls were fantastic from the first whistle to the last and came away very happy from their first game in the season. Attitude, determination and great teamwork were all in display for a very spirited set of supporters. Full compliments to Dromore on a fantastic performance and we look forward to meeting them again in the season ahead.

The U10 girls had their first home game of the season against a strong Kilcolman side. Some great passing and set pieces lead to some lovely goals.

Limerick Desmond U19s Ladies
Abbeyfeale Utd 2-0 Askeaton/Kilcornan AFC
The girls started the game brilliantly, pressing high up the field and creating chances. Unfortunately, we weren’t ruthless enough to take them. About 20 minutes in, we let our guard down and Abbeyfeale capitalized.
We had a corner where our routine worked perfectly, everything except the finishing touch. At halftime, the girls identified what didn’t go so well, and we set off into the second half determined to improve.
We pushed forward, but they caught us on the counter and made it 2–0. Still, we kept our heads and kept plugging away, creating more chances, but unfortunately couldn’t find the goals.
Overall, it was a solid performance. We just need to take our opportunities when they come.

ASKEATON KILCORNAN AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held on Tuesday 25th November in Askeaton clubhouse. The winner of €105 was Ger Casey.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Kilcornan AFC. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Moran’s Hardware, Askeaton Soccer Pitch and Kilcornan Community Hall. You can also enter online at www.askeatonkilcornanafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.
