A big congratulations and well done to Tomás Lane in his new coaching career with Champions League side Malmö FF.
Tomás has played and coached for us here in Askeaton AFC over the years and we wish him the very best of luck in his future. He will be a great ambassador for our club. Congratulations, from all the players, supporters, coaches and committee.

Our first Split the Pot draw was held last Tuesday, October 26 in SuperValu Askeaton. The winner of €402 was Mary Kelly.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Football Club. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Askeaton Post Office, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Askeaton Soccer Pitch. The draw is held every Tuesday evening in SuperValu Askeaton. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.

We at Askeaton AFC have come a very long way since we purchased 6 acres in 2003 from the O’Grady family at the picturesque Ballymore Askeaton. We wish to sincerely thank our previous AFC committees, players, supporters and families on their selfless efforts in getting us this far. Since June 2003 the club have raised and invested €1.2 million at Pairc Eas Geitine, which is inclusive of land purchase, site clearance, facility construction and club development.
As of today we have a shortfall of €140,000 and it is our intention to clear this debt, and which will then enable our present and dedicated committee to commence the next stage of development which will benefit both this and future generations in our community.
With this in mind, the club started a fundraiser a number of years ago inviting all sections of the local and wider community to make their donation through the ‘’Buy A Plaque Scheme”, we still have plenty room for more plaques for anyone that would be interested in purchasing one. Let’s get this fundraiser finished!! Plaques can be purchased for €200, if interested please contact Pat on 0868326202
Many thanks
Askeaton AFC Committee
