U16 GIRLS DIV 1
Askeaton/Kilcornan 0-5 Abbeyfeale Utd
It was always going to be tough game with Abbyfeale being one of the top teams in our division, but to be fair we stayed with them. The first half we didn’t create much chances but we stopped a lot of theirs. We defended really well from all over the pitch. To be 2 nil down at the break was a bit harsh. Second half was much the same in the early stages but tiredness set in and Abbey got through. We did get on the front foot a couple of times but we were just that bit short. Effort is what was asked and our girls gave it in abundance.
Squad: Xixi Prendeville, Marie McKnight, Lily Bishop, Kate Moran, Aoibheann Healy, Lucy O’ Flaherty, Leanne Fitzgerald, Aoibheann O’ Donoghue, Jennifer Walshe, Lily Prendeville, Lily Shanahan, Siofra Gallagher, Willow Sheehy, Anna Neville, Mercy Oladakpu, Siofra Healy, Ruby Maune.
